Ken is no longer treating as of 1/1/2019
To ALL of our clients, old and new:
Our goal at Therapy Central has always been to help as many people eliminate pain and get back to doing the things in their lives that give them purpose, meaning and joy. We are excited about our new therapists who are among the best we've ever had the pleasure of working with and training. To achieve the goal to help more people it has become clear that my role at Therapy Central needs to change. I have been blessed to have so many people that rely on me to help them with their healthcare needs but in order for Therapy Central to grow and be able to accommodate all of the requests for services my role needs to move from therapist to teacher. I can only help a very limited number of people with my two hands. I have thought long and hard about how to help more people and the transition to teacher is clearly the only answer.
This transition was going to be gradual. I tried to start this process by attempting to block off my schedule on Thursdays in Round Rock so that I could observe sessions, make suggestions for treatment options and assist our staff when necessary to make sure that each of our clients in all of our treatment rooms left feeling the way they'd hoped they'd feel when they reached out for our help. Libby attempted to garner support for this transition and was met with some rather staunch resistance from many of the clients she's had spoken with...Most saying they would wait, (up to 3 weeks), to see me! While I understand their hesitation, I also am aware that since I am going to turn 60 years old in the New Year there is a finite period of time that I can continue seeing 8-10 clients per day...Monday through Friday plus requests for Saturday sessions. If I can't train my staff and teach this method to the next generation of therapists then I will have failed.
Since I do NOT plan on failing, beginning January 1st of 2019 I will no longer be seeing clients on MY schedule. Instead, I will be supervising, training and assisting our therapists with learning EVERTHING I have figured out over the past 25 years. In this way we will be able to help many more clients than we have been able to in the past. What you should find is that getting in to see someone should be much quicker, even same day in most cases! MY job during this transition is to make sure that each of you leaves our offices feeling like you hoped you would when you made your appointment! I'm excited about this new chapter at Therapy Central. My prayer is that each of you will help us move forward with this plan.
