One day I woke up and experienced
pain trying to lift my arm above my head. I
searched my memory trying to think of when & where I hurt myself. Nothing
came to mind. After several weeks of "waiting for it to go away"
I went to see an
orthopedic surgeon. He diagnosed a "sore shoulder" & gave...
... me several exercises including working against those stretchy
rubber things. Nothing improved. My next venture into finding a cure involved
a physical therapist. She diagnosed everything wrong with me, starting with
my faulty posture. At $100 a visit, it was an expensive & non-fruitful
six visits. Then I heard from my daughter's boyfriend about the "pain
man"- Ken Moench.
I made an appointment & after the first 5 minutes he diagnosed my problem
as a knot in my pectorals. This shortened muscle made my shoulder come forward,
which caused rubbing & irritation of rotator cuff muscles every time
I moved my arm. Ken dug his fingers into my pec & I almost screamed.
After a few minutes of trying to move my arm, it gradually started to loosen
up. By the end of the hour, my arm could move without pain, my shoulder
returned to its normal position, & my rotator cuff problem was a thing
of the past.
After over 6 months of living with the pain & discomfort, I finally
found the cure from a man who understands the physics & physiology of
how muscles need to be in order to work properly. Since then I have had
problems with tennis elbow corrected. Not every session leads to an immediate
cure, but staying the course and trial and error always found the real source
of the problem. My posture still stinks, but I am now pain free
